Shane Jurgensen will continue as New Zealands bowling coach until the end of 2019, New Zealand Cricket has announced. Jurgensen had worked in an interim capacity since February this year, but has now been awarded a full-time contract. We got to know Shane and got to know how he worked with the group, New Zealand head coach Mike Hesson said. Hes very hard-working. He put in a lot of work behind the scenes with scouting and providing the guys with information. Thats certainly something you cant underestimate. Hes also technically very good. Its about providing him some security and us with some consistency.Jurgensen had overseen New Zealands attack during the World T20, where they impressed, but has since also been part of a less successful tour of India. This is his second stint as New Zealands bowling coach, having also held the role between 2008 to 2010.Jurgensens most high-profile work to date had been as head coach of Bangladesh, from 2012 to 2014. During that time, Bangladesh whitewashed New Zealand in a home ODI series, and drew their first Test against Sri Lanka, in Galle. Hesson suggested Jurgensens range of experience was a factor in his appointment, while family circumstances played a role as well. His knowledge of all conditions and his overall experience has been evident during his time with us, Hesson said. Shane was on a trial, I guess, really – to see how he fitted into the group and also to see how he enjoyed it. But his wifes a Kiwi and hes keen to move over here. We wanted someone who was based in New Zealand as well. The New Zealand coaching staffs immediate focus will be on the long home summer, which begins with a Test against Pakistan on Thursday. Bangladesh and South Africa are also due to visit in the coming months.New Zealand has a hugely talented group of bowlers who arent afraid to put the hard work in, Jurgensen said. They want to be the best in the world and itll be my mission to help them achieve that goal. China NFL Jerseys Authentic . But when it comes to determining if Raymond will find a place on the Leafs roster when training camp concludes in a week, well, that decision will ultimately fall to the head coach.Toro Rosso youngster Carlos Sainz claims he is ready to follow Max Verstappen in making the jump to the senior team. Though both impressed in their rookie F1 season last year, it was Verstappen who stole the plaudits and subsequently got bumped up to Red Bull to replace Daniil Kvyat in 2016.The teenager duly won his first ever race in the RB12 but Sainz, who also shone at the Spanish GP in finishing sixth, says he would be prepared should Red Bull wish to promote him as well. Asked if he was ready for a front-running team, the Spaniard told Sky Sports News HQ: I definitely think so.Mark Hughes: Where next for Sainz?I am here for Red Bull whenever they need me to jump in the top team. I am fully ready. I always say the same that [being] ready is not a problem. My performance in the Spanish GP was good, but it was the same as in all the other grands prix. Its just nothing strange happened to me and finally I managed to pick up a strong result. But, honestly, I did nothing different to any other grand prix, I just had a bit more luck. So very happy, very pleased with that and hopefully this is a bit of a start from zero for me this season and we can keep scoring some results from now on. Sainz has scored 12 points this season while Toro Rosso are lying fifth in the constructors standings, though they may struggle with a lack of upgrades to their 2015-spec Ferrari engine later on in the campaign. The STR11 looked to be strong in practice at the Monaco GP, however, with Kvyat and Sainz respectively finishing sixth and 10th in P1, and fifth and sixth in P2.On a Thursday in Monaco, you have many drivers who maybe sandbag three tenths because they dont want to risk it all out, Sainz added.ddddddddddddRed Bull speed in Monaco unbelievableYou have teams like Ferrari that maybe havent got it right for a Thursday. You have traffic for your push laps when 22 cars are out on track. But we are bit better than expected, maybe.
